Technical Education in Assam started with the establishment of Prince of Wales Institute of Engineering & Technology at Jorhat before independence in 1927. Establishment of Assam Engineering Institute and later establishment of Assam Engineering College was the beginning of Technical Education in the State of Assam. It has been a long journey of evolution of State technical Education in the State of Assam. Directorate of Technical Education, Assam was established at 1960. Now there are 5 Govt. Engineering Colleges and 21 Polytechnic Institutions under this Directorate. In the Technical Education front, there has been phenomenal growth in the recent past. The first Engineering College – Assam Engineering College was established in 1956 at Guwahati and the first Diploma Institution- Assam Textile Institution was established in at Guwahati.

DTE Assam PAT 2019

 

DTE commonly stands for the Department of technical education. It is a higher education department that comes under the duty of minister of education. The whole compartment of this solely recommends the government on matters like how to deal with higher education in India. It is so huge that it even manages the work and different educational activities of 9 government engineering colleges, 3 aided engineering colleges, 49 polytechnic colleges, three colleges of fine arts, 39 technical high schools, 42 tailoring and garment making training centres, 17 government commercial institutes and four vocational training centres.

The plans and activities of technical education is done by this department which helps in keeping all things consistent with state and national policies. It comes with courses like master of technology/master of planning, bachelor of technology/bachelor of architecture, MFA, BFA, diploma and certificate courses with the help of different colleges across the country like different engineering colleges, polytechnics, technical high schools, commercial institutes, arts colleges and so many other as mentioned before.

It does a lot from its side, that it not only conducts courses and but also comes up with an idea of establishing new institutions, prepares annual budgets and also arranges courses for students through which they can earn a little, and also conducts examinations for students for certain courses.

Important dates for Assam DTE PAT 2019 session

 

The examination in Assam was held on 19th may. The table below is a complete schedule for ASSAM PAT 2019 session: –

Application Process for Assam PAT 2019

 

The application form was made available on the official website of DTE Assam. The steps written below are supposed to be followed by the candidate to fill the application form: –

  • First you need to go to the official website of DTE Assam dte.assam.gov.in.
  • Click on ‘Online Application for PAT 2019.
  • After this, the application form will appear on the screen Infront of you.
  • Candidates are supposed to select the courses and fill the details as asked from them in the form.
  • After filling the concrete details, candidates will need to pay the application fee for the form, which is INR 500+Applicable bank charges. The application fee can be paid by a user using the online mode only.
  • After the payment, your application form gets done. It is recommended that candidates get themselves a printout of the form for future reference.

With this, you are also supposed to know the eligibility criteria to appear in the exam which is decided by the Directorate of technical education, Assam.

These are the conditions for ASSAM PAT 2019 that a candidate is supposed to be known with: –

  • A candidate from general category must be born after august 1,1998
  • A candidate from SC/ST category must be born after august 1,1995
  • The average score of a candidate from general category must be above 40% in subjects like maths and science in 10th standard
  • The average score of a candidate from SC/ST category must be above 33% in subjects like maths and science in 10th

Download Assam PAT 2019 Admit Card

 

The admit card for Assam PAT had been made available from May 2, on the official site of DTE Assam. An admit card contains all the details for the applicant of the examination.

Following steps written below can be followed by the candidates to download the Admit card for Assam PAT 2019: –

  • First you need to visit the official website of DTE Assam- assam.gov.in.
  • Then you scroll down, click on ‘Download Admit Card for PAT 2019’.
  • Now candidates will be taken to a page from where they can download their Admit Card.
  • Candidates need to enter their Application Number and date of Birth and all other information they are asked to fill.
  • Click on ‘Log in.’
  • Your admit card will appear on the screen in front of you
  • And then you will find an option to download the Admit Card.
  • It is recommended to candidates that they get at least 2 coloured printouts of this Admit Card, for examination purpose and future use as well.

Assam PAT 2019 Result

 

The result of Assam PAT is declared on May 29, 2019 on the official website of DTE Assam. Following steps can be followed by the candidates to view Assam PAT result 2019: –

First you need to go to the official website of DTE Assam- dte.assam.gov.in.

  • Scroll down and now click on ‘PAT-2019 Result’.
  • Now a new page for PAT 2019 result will appear on the screen in front of you
  • On this page, enter your examination roll number and click on the button, ‘Submit.’
  • The result card for ASSAM PAT 2019 will be there in front of you on the screen.
  • It is recommended to candidates that they get a coloured print out of this result card as it may be needed in the admission process in future.

After the results are declared, candidates are called for ASSAM PAT 2019 counselling process. Candidates should be aware with the fact that they need to appear in Counselling as it is necessary and no student will be given admission if he/she fails to appear in the Counselling process.

Following documents are supposed to carried by the candidate while they go for their counselling process for the ASSAM PAT 2019.

  • Detailed Mark certificate of Class 10 of their respective boards
  • Character Certificate/ Certificate of Conduct from the previous institution they have come from
  • Migration certificate from the previous board
  • Duly filled Part B Application form (that can be downloaded from official website)
  •  Residence proof of the candidate
  • Sports/NCC certificate (if it is imperative)
  • Passport sized pictures of the candidate

Identity proof of the applicant which can be Aadhar card or anything.
