The “Nemmadi Project” was started by the e-Governance department on the Private Public Partnership (PPP) model. But since authorities faced some issues like the lack of control over the private partners so the government took over the entire project. On the behalf of the government, the Revenue department looks after this project. Under this project, the government established the exclusive service centers at the hobli level. Through these Nadakacheri centers, the government aims to provide affordable, transparent, and reliable services to the citizens.
Nadakacheri is very beneficial for the people living in rural areas as this provides them electronic services. According to the government on the official website, this project has been launched in the 69 hobli centers all over the state on 25.12.2012.
